A clip of my 1984 K100 running
It sounds to me like I need to do something-listen to it here. It is a link to my blog; click on the video clip there.
Update
It is fixed. It runs beautifully. Three of the four little rubber seals that close the vacuum take off at the throttle bodies were frot, cracked. I fixed that and I'm now looking forward to riding it again. I bought it in Potchefstroom and rode it like it was to Cape Town. I'm amazed that it ran not too badly despite those rubbers leaking. So, mechanically it is acceptable at the moment. I'm repairing body work.
I'm replacing the handlebar fairing that was on the bike and damaged with the standard K100 headlamp fairing - see here The reamaining body parts are there, but some are broken or dangling on cable ties. I will repaint all plastic; maybe the frame too, but I want to ride it first.
